Major League Baseball’s most successful team, New York Yankees, has taken a big leap into the world of cryptocurrency as they team up with NYDIG to allow their players and staff to convert their salary into Bitcoin.
They would associate with investment company NYDIG, which is a bitcoin operating subsidiary of Stone Ridge Holdings Group.
The current crypto winter has caused crypto prices to fall drastically, however amid this situation New York Yankees has signed a multi year deal with the NYDIG.
NYDIG is also the official Bitcoin payroll platform of the MLB team. New York Yankees employees will also get advantage from the Bitcoin Savings Plan (BSP) offered by the bitcoin-focused firm.
The NYDIG’s Bitcoin Savings Plan offered from the participating employer to the employees would not be charged any transaction fees nor any fees for bitcoin storage.
As per the plan one third of the employees income would be deposited into BSP which would be the most efficient way of saving Bitcoin and also the dollar-cost averaging can be smoothened
According to a company’s recent survey, 36% of employers with most of them being below 30, wished to have the option of converting their fees into BTC and enjoy secure custody at no fees.
