The mastermind behind the 2016 Bitfinex crypto hack of $4.5 billion in Bitcoin, Rapper Heather Morgan, a.k.a. Razzlekhan has won court permission to look for a new job while her case is being heard.
Heather Morgan’s request to modify the terms of her pre-trial release was granted, allowing her to “engage in legitimate employment and receive income of greater than $10,000 per month.” The request was not opposed by prosecutors in federal court in Washington.
In February, the Department of Justice arrested the self-claimed “infamous Crocodile of Wall Street” Morgan and her husband Ilya Lichtenstein for allegedly attempting to launder more than 25,000 stolen Bitcoins. The following month, the pair requested that the case be postponed to allow for plea negotiations.
