Republic Capital co-founder Boris Revsin is Tribe Capital’s new managing partner. At Tribe Capital, he will grow the Tribe Crypto Labs Incubator program. He will also initiate investments from the $400 million Venture Fund 3 equity fund, supervising the new incubator program while growing the crypto franchise with the current team.
“There’s sort of two things that I had been looking for. The first was to get a little closer to the companies building in the action, especially in the bear market. And I think that the incubator …helps illustrate a little bit of what we’ll be able to do at Tribe,” says Revsin.
The $25 million Tribe Crypto Labs Incubator will assist Tribe Capital, a venture capital firm, in collaborating with cryptocurrency developers. It will also help expedite investments in L1 blockchains and the Cosmos ecosystem.
Tribe Capital’s 30% portfolio investment is in cryptocurrency and blockchain companies, such as Kraken, FTX, ConsenSys, and Digital Currency Group. It represents a multi-asset and multi-stage investment strategy across equity and crypto markets.
