The Dubai government is continuing its efforts to make it a global center for innovative transformative concepts. A high-level committee for future technology chaired by the Dubai Crown Prince has been formed “to promote Dubai’s supremacy in the digital economy globally.”
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will chair the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, which will include the UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, who will serve as the committee’s deputy chairman.

The committee is said to be in charge of developing policies for emerging technologies such as the metaverse, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, Web3, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), data centers, and cloud computing.
