The DAO of ApeCoin, the native token of Bored Ape Yacht Club, approves the proposal of funding the Bored Ape Gazette into a 24-hour style news site.
The Bored Ape Gazette has been covering news about BAYC creator Yuga Labs and the Ape DAO since June 2021. The voting began on July 22, 2022, at 6:30 AM, and concluded on July 28, 2022, at 6:30 AM.
The AIP-70 proposal got approved with 1.1M Ape tokens, meaning about 87.88% of votes were in favor. 149K Ape tokens were issued against the proposal.
The ApeCoin Foundation will now work on implementing the proposal in accordance with the DAO governance protocols.
The Bored Ape Gazette website will evolve into a 24-hour news site complete with a live BAYC, MAYC, BAKC, and Otherdeed sales ticker, an ApeCoin price chart complete with a tradeview.

The total cost of updating and running the Bored Ape Gazette website for the first year is expected to be $150,000.
It will also sport a calendar showing important dates such as DAO votes and other community-related events, and a classifieds section where community members can sell their BAYC and Yuga-related art and services.
Along with an updated website, the Bored Ape Gazette will work to keep the community better informed on the ApeCoin DAO through bi-weekly newsletters and in-depth reports on Ape Improvement Proposals, complete with Q&A interviews with the AIP authors and interviews with holders who are interested in participating.
At the time of writing, Bored Ape’s ApeCoin is trading at a price of $6.97.
