The Crypto sweetheart, Helium seems to be in big trouble as reports claim that Helium has lied about working with firms like Lime and Salesforce and has been using their logos on its website.
Two different reports from Mashable and Verge reported that Helium had been misleading people by falsely claiming Lime and Saleasforce as the companies it works with.
Helium has advertised on its homepage that the transportation company, Lime, uses its crypto-powered mesh wireless network. Lime, however, told the media portal that it hasn’t worked with Helium since 2019.
Lime further added that it was only ever involved with Helium’s technology for its ‘initial testing’. Interestingly, Lime hinted that as of Friday it was preparing a ‘cease-and-desist’ letter addressed to Helium.
As for Salesforce, its logo had appeared on Helium’s website right next to Lime’s. But Salesforce too, said that it doesn’t use Helium’s technology.
Salesforce spokesperson Ashley Eliasoph revealed in an email, “Helium is not a Salesforce partner.” With regard to its graphic on Helium’s website, Eliasoph said that “it is not accurate”.
Note that Lime and Salesforce’s logos were then removed from Helium’s homepage sometime on Friday.
