The mobile crypto-wallet Sender has announced the launch of its public beta version. Sender, a non-custodial wallet, is based on the Blockchain firm, Near.
Thus, users can now download the APK installer (Android version) from the official website for testing. The official version i.e., Google or Android version is expected to be launched in August 2022.
As of now, the Sender browser-based plug-in supports Chrome, Brave, Kiwi, and Edge. When considering the Near Ecosystem, Sender is among the most used crypto wallets. It has over 300,000 downloads and has been connected to over 20 leading projects in the NEAR ecosystem.
Last year, the Sender team received seed rounds from Binance Labs and Metaweb Ventures. This year, the wallet closed a private round led by top crypto investors.
Currently, Sender is hiring to add more security and user-friendly wallet products for its users.
Kenny, founder and CEO of Sender Labs, said, “The NEAR ecosystem has seen explosive growth over the past six months. Sender, as one of the largest native third-party plugin wallets in the NEAR ecosystem, is actively exploring more ways to bring more Web2 users into the NEAR ecosystem.”
He further added that Sender has already partnered with Moonpay, Transak, Banxa, and other fiat channel providers. The wallet has facilitated the purchase of cryptos in more than 140 countries globally via bank transfers, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, etc.
The recent bear market has not deterred the firm’s growth in any way. Kenny further concluded that bear markets are ‘historically fantastic opportunities’ to build and improve long-term product success.
