The Canadian regulatory body, Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) included a number of crypto firms in a consumer alert list that includes companies not registered to deal in Ontario.
As per press release, the OSC’s investor warning includes possible harmful or illegal activities. The regulators have revealed a “warning list” of firms and individuals that pose risks to investors. Crypto firms including KuCoin, PhenoFX, Crestswiftrade.com, and FX-BTC Trade are among those listed as unregistered firms in this warning list.
The above-mentioned crypto firms are listed along with other firms that claim to be foreign exchange brokers or other types of broker-dealers. Note that some of these firms are facing claims of frauds against them.
