Crypto exchange platform Binance has recovered a large part of the money stolen from Curve Finance.
Binance CEO Chengpeng Zhao tweeted that the platform has frozen or recovered $450,000, which accounts for more than 80% of the amount stolen. He said that the hacker kept trying to send the funds to the exchange in various ways but was detected by Binance.
The exchange is now working with law enforcement to recover the rest of the funds.
The Curve Finance team alerted its users of an exploit on Tuesday, which led to more than $570,000 being stolen from the protocol. The team says it suffered a ‘DNS cache poisoning’ attack.
