Football giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have filed for a joint metaverse-related trademark application. The news was tweeted by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.
The mark for the joint venture features a giant ‘C’ and both the teams logo on either side.
The application, which was filed on August 5, covers virtual reality and augmented reality software and games as well as virtual reality clothing, footwear, headgear, sportswear and more.
The application also covers ‘downloadable software for using as an e-wallet’ and ‘downloadable software for managing cryptocurrency transactions using blockchain technology.’
