The infamous founder of Terraform Labs, Do Kwon, appointed a domestic lawyer. As per the legal community, Kwon is getting ready for legal action and has appointed lawyers from a domestic law firm to prepare for the prosecution’s investigation.
Reportedly, he has submitted a letter of appointment to an attorney at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office where he is studying the case closely.
The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office which received the case has formed the Financial Securities Crime Joint Investigation Team. Recently, Kwon said in an interview with Coinage that he had never been in contact with the Korean investigative authorities.
It appears that the interview is believed to have been taken after a search and seizure by the prosecution last month. Earlier this month, however, after week-long prosecution raids on Terra labs and other linked crypto exchanges, prosecutors admitted that they didn’t find the information they were looking for.
When asked if he has plans to return to Korea, Kwon said it is difficult to make such a decision as they have never contacted the investigators. In the same interview, he was also found defending himself against the fraud accusation. The interview received the backlash from an avid crypto tweeter, FatManTerra who accused the journalist of still ‘shilling’ him.
Every comment Do Kwon has made since the stunning fall of his cryptocurrency project in May, when many individuals lost their life savings and faith in so-called stablecoins, has had a negative effect on the crypto community.
