Two-time Academy Award winner, Sir Anthony Hopkins has teamed up with Web3 experience company Orange Comet for an upcoming series of NFT drops called “The Eternal Collection”.
The Silence of the Lambs star revealed that the NFTs will feature various character archetypes he has played over the years and will be available on OpenSea in the middle of September.
“This NFT collection immortalizes Sir Anthony Hopkins’ diverse archetypal interpretations of Eternal: The Jester, The Lover, The Rebel, The Hero, et al,” reads the announcement.
“NFTs are a blank canvas to create art in a new format,” Sir Anthony Hopkins said as he entered the cryptosphere following the success of celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, and Steve Aoki with their NFT blockbusters.
To much astonishment, the Veteran actor expressed interest in buying NFTs and eventually asked fellow Web3 and NFT- savvy celebrities for advice.
The digital NFT series will also include a once-in-a-lifetime IRL event for collectors, allowing them to interact with one of Hollywood’s greatest icons.
“As an artist, I am inspired by the power of art, music, cinema, and the illusionary dreamlike quality of life. The metaverse offers an incredible opportunity to connect with an audience in an entirely different way,” said Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Speaking of “The Eternal Collection”, several categories will be released, including “Iconic,” “Legendary,” and “Distinguished.”
On the first day of the auction, it will include a one-of-a-kind iconic animation NFT incorporating 10 archetypes (the giver, the ruler, the jester, the lover, the creator, the explorer, the sage, the hero, the rebel, and the magician), as well as an intimate lunch/brunch with Sir Anthony Hopkins.
On the second day, 10 Signature Animation NFTs will be featured, each featuring a different character archetype, and on the third day, 1000 NFTs based on the 10 archetypes (100 variants for each archetype) will be featured.
