Ronin Network, a sidechain of Sky Mavis, has introduced three new validators to boost the security of the network, including Efficient Frontier, Community Gaming and Nansen.
Sky Mavis is famous in the GameFi space and known for the play-to-earn game, Axie Infinity.
With the integration of three new validators on Ronin, the total count of validators soared from 14 to 17. Ronin Network aims for 21 independent validators joining.
The blog post on the website stated, “Today’s validators were selected to ensure that Ronin has active, responsive, and secure validators backing the network as part of Sky Mavis’ commitment to bolstering our security.”
Three months after an exploit of approximately $600 million in cryptocurrencies stolen from the protocol, Axie Infinity’s Ronin bridge was restored in June.
Sky Mavis proposed the names of validators for voting, which seeks 70% validator approval to accept them as validators.
Efficient Frontier already closed ties with Sky Mavis since 2020, which is a digital asset algorithmic trading firm and a market maker for Ronin Network.
Community Gaming is involved in the development of the infrastructure for emerging Web 3 gaming and esports. Recently, it joined hands with Sky Mavis to become the publisher’s Official Tournament Platform and Operations Partner for the Axie Infinity World Championship.
