The Dapper Labs has finally launched NFL All Day, an officially licensed NFL NFT collectibles platform after a lengthy closed beta testing phase.
Joe Ruggiero, SVP, Consumer Products at the NFL said, “Today, we welcome fans worldwide to NFL ALL DAY, allowing them to experience their fandom in a new way that bridges the emerging technology of NFTs with our game.”
NFL All Day will allow traders to buy, trade and own officially licensed digital video highlight NFTs on Dapper’s marketplace. The platform runs on Flow blockchain.
To mark the public launch of the platform, NFL All Day will launch a new “Headliners” pack of NFT moments today. The drop will feature NFTs of legendary moments of Tom Brady, Derrick Henry, Derek Carr and more.
“We’re excited to welcome the millions of football fans to NFL ALL DAY, and enable them to own a piece of the sport they love as well as join a strong and vibrant community of fellow fans,” said Roham Gharegozlou, the CEO and Co-Founder of Dapper Labs.
Moreover, Patrick Mahomes II, the quarterback for Kansas City Chiefs will serve as the face of NFL ALL DAY for the 2022 NFL season and help drive fan engagement.
The platform was originally announced in September, after the end of the previous NFL season. The platform’s beta version launched in December remained in the closed beta form until now, adding users and improving features.
Ruggiero said, “Last year’s soft launch of NFL ALL DAY brought in a surge of early adopters who began collecting video highlight NFTs of NFL plays, and we plan to grow the number of users significantly with the official launch of the platform, especially with the addition of Patrick Mahomes as our athlete ambassador.”
