The U.S. pop star Miley Cyrus has become the latest celebrity to take her name brand to the metaverse with two NFT-related trademarks MILEY and MILEY CYRUS.
She has filed the trademark to win the rights to use her name ‘MILEY’ and ‘MILEY CYRUS’ for a wide range of products such as clothing, energy drinks, entertainment services, virtual currency management software, virtual clothing, footwear, sports gear and more.
The USPTO licensed trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis revealed the news in a tweet.
The crypto+metaverse trademark application was filed on August 16, 2022, and was drafted in such a way that the trademark appears to be her name as a brand. In June, the hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg also filed for NFT and Metaverse-related trademark applications.
