The Ethereum Foundation’s bug bounty program has been incentivized even more by providing a 4x multiplier to all Merge-related bounties for vulnerabilities until September 8th.
The Foundation’s Joseph Schweitzer tweeted, “The Merge is coming,” claiming that critical bugs are worth up to $1 million.
So, basically, bugs with a high impact or likelihood of having a high impact on the blockchain (such as remote code execution in a majority client, where an attacker can easily exploit the vulnerability) will be worth up to $1 million ahead of the blockchain’s transition to proof-of-stake.
