The generative NFT project Art Blocks has launched brand new products that allow its team to create their very own generative assets. As per the Art Blocks FAQ page, there are two products, namely Art Blocks Engine and Art Block Engine Flex.
The Art Blocks Engine is a product which the Art Blocks team has used for on-chain storage of generative assets. The other is Art Block Engine Flex, which will be used to create and store generative items off-chain using decentralized storage protocols like IPFS or Arweave.
This means generative systems can use photography, GAN, AI, and other creative tools that are otherwise impractical.
These engines allow third parties or Art Block’s partners to use its smart contracts and rendering infrastructures to create an unlimited amount of branded generative projects.
Art Blocks founder Erick Calderon believes that when people are offered two equally priced options, they’re more inclined to choose personalized things over impersonal ones and unique over generic.
Art Block Engine can be used not only by web3 teams but also by those in various industries including sports, media, gaming, fashion, and more. Art Blocks has been actively developing new ways to make its platform more interactive and participative.
