So Facebook moved beyond 2D screens and into immersive experiences, giving rise to “Meta”. Speaking of which, users can now connect their wallets to Instagram and Facebook to post NFTs or “digital collectibles”.
Meta appears to be interested in seeing if the users want to share their digital art collection on their social media platform.
The posts will essentially look like regular posts and will be tested with a handful of US creators and collectors.
The tech behemoth previously rolled out NFT support features on Facebook as well as provided a preview of how NFTs would appear on it.
Users can connect their wallets such as Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and Coinbase Wallet to post digital collectibles minted on Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow for the most recent update to post their NFTs across both Instagram and Facebook.
Meta has been experimenting with NFTs on both of its platforms, and the company provided us with a timeline of its progress toward immersive reality or the metaverse.

Posting a digital collectible with public information, such as a description of the NFT, will have a shimmer effect. There is also automatic tagging of both the creator and the collector, subject to each user’s privacy settings.
The Solana blockchain will be supported soon, as will the third-party wallets, Dapper, and Phantom.
