Luxury watchmaker, Jacobs and Co. have announced the release of a luxury Bitcoin Watch named the Astronomia Solar Bitcoin.
The company has made only 25 pieces of this limited-edition watch.
The clock face of the watch rotates a one-minute flying tourbillon which features a delicate decorated cage that is encapsulated between several components. The tourbillon rotates in 10-minute intervals.
Moreover, the face of the clock is modified to look like a motherboard typically found in application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), the machines used to mine bitcoin. The hands of the clock are plated with 18K rose gold.
The clock also features a yellow sapphire sun, a one-carat diamond-shaped moon, a golden earth, and a Bitcoin logo indicating hyperbitcoinization. Also, it features a miniature rocketship painted black, pointing towards the moon and the Bitcoin sign.
“All these symbols tell the story of the advent of the first cryptocurrency, from abstraction to reality, from outlier to a mainstay of the financial system,” says the company in its announcement.
These symbols rotate on top of the main plate which rotates counterclockwise under a single-piece sapphire crystal window, resulting in a transparent view of the components.
The watch has a total of 444 components on top of two rotating platforms to give the unique display.
