The virtual metaverse band, Kingship owned by the Universal Music Group (UMG) has announced that it has teamed up with Beyonce’s producers, James Fauntleroy and Hit-Boy to create a discography for the BAYC band.
James Fauntleroy and Hit-Boy will take the roles of co-executive producers and songwriters behind the band. They will work to create music for the NFT-inspired characters to perform in videos and immersive online metaverse worlds.
Both the producers are well-known for working with award winning musicians such as Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and many more.
Kingship was created by UMG’s crypto culture-focused sublabel 10:22PM. The head of 10:22PM is also constructing an extensive storyline, albums and metaverse concerts for the four-member BAYC team. UMG plans to sell access to the band’s output as NFTs, too.
