The NFT gaming network MyMetaverse and blockchain company Enjin have announced the first playable NFTs on game servers for Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V and Minecraft.
Efinity, built on Polkadot and designed by Enjin, is a cross-chain NFT blockchain for ecosystem interoperability. The “MetaHome NFTs” were minted here.
MyMetaverse’s vision is to integrate creator economies into games so that artists, musicians, and video producers can create content and attach it to NFTs. The new in-game utility in the NFTs will provide buffs to the land plots they are displayed on.
These first playable “MetaHome NFTs” on Efinity will be available on September 22nd.
MyMetaverse’s MetaHome collection is currently functional in:
- Its flagship virtual world MMO game-Infinity Realms,
- Minecraft network-Survival Infinity,
- Grand Theft Auto 5 missions server-Infinity Auto.
Simon Kertonegoro, MyMetaverse founder and CEO, said, “Enjin’s low-level tools give you a lot of flexibility, to the point where you’re pretty much editing the tools themselves, which is really powerful for a platform like ours.”
He tweeted out:
MyMetaverse is one of the ecosystem partners given early access to make NFTs available on Efinity, and Enjin is assisting in the latter’s development, which should enable fast and affordable NFT transactions.

Witek Radomski, Enjin’s CTO, said in a statement, “Enjin aims to be the NFT highway connecting game studios and their users onto the blockchain. Leveraging Enjin’s comprehensive suite of tools and the scalability of the Efinity parachain, we are excited to collaborate with MyMetaverse to integrate NFTs into AAA games such as GTA 5––allowing gamers to own digital collectibles within their favorite games.”
