The Web3 firm behind popular projects like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and CryptoPunks, Yuga Labs, has announced the issuance of the first CryptoPunks NFT grant for its newsletter-Punks Post.
The grant will be used for creating and maintaining the newsletter. As per Yuga Labs, Punks Post will be recording important chronicles and developing networking opportunities within the Punks community.
The community members, @ricgalbraith and @lorepunkdoteth, have been awarded with the grant to work on this project.
Punks Post will be published and distributed through two new token-gated channels in the official CryptoPunks Discord channel.
Fans can reportedly submit news and also promote networking opportunities to grant winners using the ‘community-newsletter-insights’ channel. The team will select relevant pieces to be published bi-weekly every Thursday on the ‘community-newsletter’ channel.
Previously, too, the firm had issued grants to multiple community-led projects, and the very first grant recipient, @jenkinsthevalet, had created a developing community in itself.
Yuga has also promised to introduce more formal programs for such grants. The firm is expected to declare funding for more creative members from BAYC, MAYC, Punks, Meebits, and Otherside communities soon.
