Following reports that Do Kwon is being forced to return to South Korea because the Foreign Ministry may reject his travel document, the co-founder of the Terra ecosystem tweeted a clarification, “I am not ‘on the run’ or anything similar”.
Prosecutors in South Korea issued an arrest warrant for Do Kwon and asked the finance ministry to revoke his passport. The authorities looking for Kwon thought he was in Singapore, but Singapore police said he wasn’t.
Do Kwon also stated that “we are in full cooperation and we don’t have anything to hide” to any government agency that has expressed an interest in communicating.
“We are in the process of defending ourselves in multiple jurisdictions – we have held ourselves to an extremely high bar of integrity, and look forward to clarifying the truth over the next few months” Kwon addressed Crypto Twitter.
The Terra ecosystem’s collapse triggered a massive crypto sell off, the failures of crypto lenders Celsius and Voyager, and hedge fund Three Arrows Capital.
