The digital fashion platform BNV will be launching the beta version of its Metaverse dubbed, ‘BNV World’ within next month. The Metaverse platform will be particularly created to display ‘complex and elaborate’ digital fashion pieces to the people of the metaverse.
Richard Hobbs, CEO of BNV said, “The reality is, a lot of brands don’t really look at The Sandbox—or any voxelated environment—as being conducive to fashion.”
Apart from creating digital fashion items, BNV acts as a channel between traditional fashion brands and design tools for the metaverse and thus, provides a solution.
BNV World will be created with Unreal Engine, which is a lifelike graphics software tool from the Fornite creator Epic Games. Hobbs thinks that Unreal’s flexibility will be crucial to convincing fashion leaders who are hesitant about the design constraints of current metaverses.
BNV World will offer visitors the chance to display fashion items from several designers in an ultra-realistic 3-D. Not just this, there will be virtual spaces and platforms for events and digital fashion collection releases.
Note that some of the platforms will be token-gated, offering NFT holders various levels of accessibility and wearability.
The CEO also believes that building a virtual space that is primarily directed to cater to the visual needs of digital fashion will let creators to “be a lot more creative and experimental with how fashion can look and be interpreted in the metaverse.”
