Trading platform Robinhood has announced the launch of its self-custodial, Web3 Wallet.
Robinhood launched the beta version of the wallet on iOS. Currently the wallet is available to only the first 10,000 people who signed up for the testing period way back in May.
Johann Kerbrat, the Chief Technology Officer said, “Launching the Robinhood Wallet beta marks a significant step forward in our journey to make Robinhood the most trusted and simple crypto platform for customers.”
The wallet supports the Polygon blockchain and will allow users to trade and swap crypto with no network fees.
The beta version of the wallet will let users perform common tasks such as trading, rewards, storage and DApp-based yield farming of crypto.
The platform has said that they intend to extend compatibility with other blockchains in the future.
