Tech giant Meta announced that all Facebook and Instagram users in the U.S. can now connect their wallets and share their NFTs.
Additionally, all users in the US are now allowed to cross-post the NFTs they hold on Facebook and Instagram.
In August, Meta introduced NFT support for Instagram in 100 countries with a limited user base. As per the recent announcement, all users in these 100 nations can now access the function on Instagram.
Meta began testing the NFT display feature with a small group of users on Facebook and Instagram in June and May, respectively.
Users of Facebook and Instagram are able to upload digital collectibles based on Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow by connecting their wallets, such as Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper Wallet.
You can connect your preferred wallet by choosing the “digital collectibles” tab under settings after logging into your Facebook or Instagram app.
You can view your NFTs through the wallet within the Facebook or Instagram app after your digital wallet is connected.
Now that the collectibles section has been added, you can publish your NFTs to your feed as usual and share them with others. Alternatively, you can choose “Share to Feed” to send your NFTs right from your wallet.
You can add a caption to an NFT after choosing one to share, and then post it. To distinguish it from other posts, your NFT post will have a shimmer effect. According to Meta, uploading or posting a digital collectible on Facebook or Instagram is free of charge.
