Vogue Ukraine enters the metaverse to support the Ukrainian fashion industry by partnering with the NFT marketplace The Dematerialised (DMAT).
DMAT will highlight the work of three designers- Bevza, Gudu, and Ienki Ienki. The clothes were presented in Paris on September 28 during fashion week.
The physical garments were then converted into NFTs, and can be bought via DMAT.
Philipp Vlasov, the editor-in-chief said, “This drop in collaboration with DMAT is our first endeavor in the metaverse, where we intend to establish a strong presence. Helping the Ukrainian fashion industry survive and endure during these troubled times is a part of Vogue UA’s revised mission.”
The goal of this project is to help the designers find new and innovative ways to sell their products and to generate revenue in extraordinarily difficult times. Clothes and accessories by other established Ukrainian designers will be launched later.
Karinna Grant, the co-founder of DMAT said, “We are honored to enable social and economic capital for these Ukrainian designers through this important project.”
