The BADMEANiNGOOD by Austin Wilde x Banksy NFT series is set to release on Makersplace, the premium art NFT marketplace. The NFT collection features Banksy’s designs with most editions as original and limited edition posters and some with original, deadstock, and mint vinyl’s.
The NFT series includes art designs by the famous graffiti artist and also comes with some fantastic utility.
Banksy has awarded copyrights for the designs to Wilde who will launch the series of original album covers, posters, and 12” record sleeves over the next several months. For the first drop in Wilde’s compilation series, featuring English music producer Skitz, Banksy produced an original image of heavy artillery wearing a pair of Adidas.
A canvas of this image was sold with Pest Control authentication via Sotheby’s in 2008. Banksy repurposed existing images from his catalog to go with the BADMEANiNGOOD theme for the remaining album covers.
The first drop includes five NFTs which will launch on October 4th at 12 PM PT/ 3 PM ET. Additionally, there is a Vinyl 12-inch REMIX: Roots Manuva x The Beatles Yellow Submarine– the completest edition- auctioned with a reserve of 2 ETH.
The winning bidder of the Vinyl NFT will also get the physical Vinyl 12” Remix record, an O.G. sticker, and a second edition 50x70cm Roots Manuva poster signed and stamped by Wilde.
The series also consists of four unique poster NFTs which will be auctioned with reserves of 1-2 ETH each namely:
- Peanut Butter Wolf 60×40 Blueback Poster
- Scratch Perverts 60×40 Blueback Poster
- Roots Manuva 60×40 Blueback Poster
- SKITZ 60×40 Blueback Poster
For the first time ever, collectors will also get an extremely rare 60×40 inch “blueback” poster as a physical redeemable, the largest poster currently available on the open market.
Both Makersplace and Wilde will donate 10% of their sales proceeds to #MOASMissionUkraine, a program that brings emergency medical aid to people impacted by the Russia-Ukraine war.
After making remarkable feats in the material world, Banksy is again set to amaze his fans with this new NFT series. Last year, Particle also launched its platform with the fractionalization of Banksy’s 2005 work “Love is in the Air” as NFT on Avalanche.
