The famous luxury alcohol brand, Moët Hennessy USA, files five NFT and Metaverse-related trademark applications for the names- Dom Perignon, Money, and Moet & Chandon.
This move happened just a few days after Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Co., the world’s best-selling whiskey brand, recently filed an NFT and metaverse trademark application.
The trademark registrations were disclosed in a recent tweet by Mike Kondoudis, a trademark lawyer in Washington DC, who examines Metaverse and NFT trademark filings at the USPTO.
Moët Hennessy will provide the following services based on the filings: NFT and digital token validation of digital collectibles and art images; alcoholic beverages linked to non-fungible tokens through QR codes on the packaging; Online or physical retail store solutions in terms of virtual goods; Virtual restaurants and bar services in online virtual spaces.
