The two-time Academy Award winner, Sir Anthony Hopkins, makes a banger debut in the NFT market as his The Eternal NFT collection in collaboration with NFT and Web3 experience company Orange Comet got sold in less than 7 minutes.
The thought-provoking visuals and animations seen in the Eternal Collection are inspired by Hopkins’s art and his lengthy and illustrious cinematic career. Anthony Hopkins announced the launch of the collection with Orange Comet in August.
The collection represents the ten various characters that Sir Anthony Hopkins was able to explore: “Jester”, “Lover”, “Ruler”, “Rebel”, “Giver”, “Hero”, “Explorer”, “Creator”, “Magician”, and “Sage”.
A total of 1000 pieces will be available in the legendary drop, along with several utilities and a once-in-a-lifetime chance for ten fortunate collectors to acquire Signature Animation NFTs.
The ten unique Signature NFTs will come with a zoom call with Sir Anthony Hopkins and an autographed copy of his collection of photographs, paintings, sketches, and Dreamscapes, which gives its owner a glimpse into the creative process of the adored Welsh actor.
The 990 more NFTs in the Eternal collection have exclusive utility in addition to the unique images based on the 10 Jungian archetypes.
The 84-year-old actor expressed his gratitude for the love his NFT collection received from the community.
“Looks like I have the capacity to crash the internet in one single leap. Thank you, everyone. I couldn’t have imagined this outcome,” Hopkins tweeted.
During the drop, an issue impacted allowlist members who were attempting to mint the Eternal collection as there was a huge demand for the launch. The issue was resolved in about an hour by the OpenSea NFT marketplace.
Anthony Hopkins stated “Adding this milestone to the repertoire. Thank you, everyone. Thrilling day.”
