The metaverse hype in UAE has now reached even to the police force as the Ajman Police is gearing up to offer its services on metaverse, becoming the first police force in the world to do so.
The “Request for Sponsorship” service utilizing the metaverse technology, was introduced by the Ajman Police General Command at the Gitex Global 2022 event which took place in Dubai’s World Trade Center.
Users of the new platform will be able to communicate with Ajman police officers via avatars in the metaverse.
The new edition of the Dubai Police General Command’s smart application including 70 services made using the latest programming languages, techniques, and artificial intelligence has also been released at the event.
The smart app for the Dubai Police is available in seven languages: Arabic, English, Russian, German, Chinese, French, and Spanish.

A personal dashboard with personal data and other transactions done by the owner is also a feature of the new smart app, according to Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, director of artificial intelligence at the Dubai Police.
UAE is on its way to become a global metaverse hub with all these innovative initiatives. In July, the Crown Prince of Dubai did announce the launch of the ‘Dubai Metaverse Strategy’ in order to increase the Emirate’s GDP contribution.
In September, the UAE Ministry of Economy launched the Ministry’s headquarters in the metaverse at the Dubai Metaverse Assembly.
