Social media platform Twitter is set to launch its new feature, ‘NFT Tweet Tiles’, in the coming days. The platform also confirmed that it is testing this feature which will allow users to buy, sell and display NFTs directly via tweets in partnership with four major marketplaces.
In the initial stage, Twitter is currently working with marketplaces, including Magic Eden, Rarible, Dapper Labs, and Jump.trade. This latest integration, NFT Tweet Tilles, displays the NFT artworks in a dedicated panel within a tweet and includes a button to let users click through to a marketplace listing.
The panel will show users a larger picture of the NFT alongside details such as title and creator. The aim is to empower developers and improvise their tweet experience. Additionally, under the partnership, it would support several blockchain networks that these marketplaces are based on, including Ethereum, Solana, Flow, Polygon, Tezos, and Immutable X.
A Twitter representative stated that the feature is blockchain-agostic, meaning all networks are supported as long as the links are from a partnered marketplace. Well, Twitter is not the only social media giant making remarkable strides in adopting NFTs for a wider user base.
Meta is also actively working on setting its foothold in the NFT space. Most recently, Meta has allowed Facebook and Instagram users in the US to share NFTs they hold on these platforms.
