The founder and CEO of crypto exchange FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried may get $100 million from Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover.
Reportedly, Bankman-Fried owned about $50 million to $100 million worth of stock in the social media giant before the acquisition.
Musk paid $44 billion to acquire Twitter private, putting Bankman-Fried’s stake at around 0.1% to 0.2%. However, Twitter has not yet confirmed the news and FTX has also refrained from commenting for the time being.
Since Elon Musk’s Twitter purchase, many crypto firms have been pouring in large chunks of money. Last week, Binance also confirmed its $500M backing in the latest Musk’s Twitter acquisition.
