The National Security Agency (NSA) whistleblower Edward Snowden slams fake Satoshi Nakomoto Craig Wright on Twitter, and even ends up calling him a “Miserable Corncob.”
Edward Snowden was celebrating the Bitcoin whitepaper by posting a copy of it on Twitter as it has been 14 years since the monumental paper was published.
“14 years ago today, yet Satoshi remains anonymous. Remarkable,” Snowden tweeted. But there was someone who took offense to that statement.
It was the infamous Australian computer scientist and businessman Craig Wright who goes around claiming that he is the original Satoshi Nakomoto.
Craig Wright was visibly furious at the Satoshi is still anonymous statement and replied to Snowden by tweeting, “I was never anonymous you traitorous scum.”
Snowden did not let Wright get away with this by quoting the recent case where Hodlonaut won a defamation lawsuit against fake-Satoshi Craig Wright.
Snowden tweeted “Remember two weeks ago when the court affirmed that @hodlonaut
calling you a “pathetic scammer,” “cringe,” “clearly mentally ill,” and (repeatedly) a “fraud” was A-OK? And ordered you to pay like $348,257?”
Hodlonaut chimed in the argument by saying that Craig Wright did not pay him the compensation yet. He also noted that Wright still hasn’t paid a cent of the $66k he was ordered to pay Hodlonaut two years ago.
The fight didn’t end at that with Snowden saying “the next time you want to tell Twitter you were never anonymous, try and keep your story straight, you miserable corncob.”
He even took a jab at the fake Satoshi by saying the latter can’t even commit fraud properly which is just embarrassing.
Popular crypto Twitter user FatmanTerra was also against Craig Wright as he tweeted that Satoshi went to great lengths to keep himself anonymous.
“There were no traces from his VPN or domain providers. Even when Bitcoin required an IP address to send money, there was no trace. I’ve seen very few who care about anonymity more. He was ridiculously careful, ” he added.
Multiple theories are going on about who could be the real Satoshi Nakomoto but since the person has left no trace and is not after the fame game the community can only thank that individual for creating such a revolution with Bitcoin.
