World-renowned music icon Bjork will soon enter the metaverse for the first time with her performance for the ages during Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival 2022 (DCLMVMF22). The festival will be held from November 10-13 and is free for all to attend, no ticket or VR headset is required. This second annual Metaverse Music Festival is presented by the digital asset platform Kraken.
She will also host the world premier of her recently released music video “Sorrowful Soil”, among other surprises for her fans. Moreover, the world’s largest user-owned and operated metaverse Decentraland is expanding the array of musical talent including Izzy Bizu, BRELAND, Akira The Don, Atarashii Gakko, Billy Strings, and Erica Krall among many others.
Platinum-award-winning songwriter BRELAND’s performance for DCLMVMF22 has already been filmed for a sold-out crowd at The Garage in London. In addition to a new musical talent joining the festival, Decentraland is also introducing a new metaverse music experience in an attempt to democratize the music industry.
The festival is aimed to engage as many artists with their fans in a communal setting, offering something new to IRL concerts and festivals.
The fun doesn’t end here. To celebrate the raw potential NFTs have offered the artists, Kraken will release an iconic collection of Wearables during a special afterparty. This includes an infinite NFT gallery.
Audio-visual digital collectibles Stickmen Toys is bringing exclusive avatars to DCLMVM22. Not only that, but the festival will also include an interactive racing game in the festival, featuring music produced by Chillpill, which is represented by web3 entertainment company Defient.
Additionally, Berlin-based software startup doWow will also debut a pioneering technical solution. This software solution enables broadcasting user-generated content in real-time across various destinations within Decentraland.
Other than that, the doWow Media Wall invites attendees to engage with NFTs and Wearables along with artists’ performances.
The participants will also get to participate in giveaways and broadcast their own UGC in real-time. Interested ones can head to its official Event listing to pre-register for the next installment of the Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival.
