The Japanese anime-themed NFT project Azuki collaborated with Yoon Ahn’s AMBUSH to bring web3-inspired fashion featuring two hoodies and two pendants. The silver pendant is engraved with Azuki’s rally-cry IKZ on the inside, resembling an inkan stamp.
On the other hand, the gold version of the pendant is detailed with a sculpted dragon and IKZ engravement. Moreover, there are black and cloud PBT-enabled Hoodies.
The hoodies are inspired by the AMBUSH WORKSHOP series which features red IKZ, inkan stamp, and most importantly, Azuki’s Physical Backed Token (PBT). The PBT enables users to track the provenance of authentic goods on the blockchain.
This limited-edition collaboration with AMBUSH serves as an experiment on how blockchain can be used to verify authentic goods and how the PBT will perform. With this launch, users can scan the chip on their phone for the AMBUSH hoodies, allowing PBT to be minted and digitally transferred to the owner’s wallet.
Azuki founder with the pseudonym Zagabond also expressed his excitement for this collaboration in a handwritten note that reads, “The Azuki AMBUSH collaboration celebrates our love for anime, Japanese craftsmanship and web3 culture. And a little bit of technology too.”
However, the true potential of PBT will only be seen once the hoodies hit the secondary market. Note that it’s not the first PBT-enabled launch by Azuki. It has previously launched PBT to link physical items and the digital world with the launch of “Golden Skateboard”, a limited edition of nine uniquely designed 24k gold-plated skateboards.
This latest collection will be released via a raffle on Azukui’s website. On November 9 at 9 AM PST, Azuki will open entry spots on its website where users can pay ETH and select the items they want to score. Winners will be announced on November 11th via airdrop.
