The two-day inaugural event that drew attention with its BAYC-themed food truck, NFT vending machine, puppies, and a “zen-den” is organized by none other than NFT.London. Around 2,500 people flocked to the event, with over 800 speakers.
This is the first time such a unique real-life NFT event took place where the whole community gathered in a food truck, giving the event a relaxed atmosphere vibe.
NFT.London left no stone unturned in making this event worth attending. The main attractions of the event included NFT t-shirt printers, new metaverse platforms, QR codes advertising whitelists for upcoming mints, and of course, a BAYC-themed fast food truck.
Well, the BAYC truck was brought via collaboration between frozen potato corporation McCain and Bored and Hungry, which is a BAYC-themed restaurant in California. The collaboration may seem strange, but that surely got them an overwhelming response.
McCain hasn’t only participated in this NFT event but just a week ago stepped into the metaverse with Regen fries. Also, the inaugural event offered NFT ticketing via YellowHear, but 90% of attendees still opted for QR code tickets.Â
The event, however, was substantially smaller than the 15,000-strong NFT.NYC, which is run by the same group. But the overall feel of the event was cozier and didn’t have the usual conference circuit of speakers.
Co-founder and producer of NFT.NYC, Cameron Bale, said, “This was our first major event in London (we hosted a small NFT event there in March 2018) and have seen a great response from the community. At our first NFT.NYC in 2019 we had a total attendance of only 460.”
The NFT.London concluded by announcing the dates for NFT.NYC 2023. The upcoming NFT.NYC will be held in Hudson Yards and Times Square on April 12-14. NFT.London will also be hosted next year.
“We think it is still early days and will be back in 2023,” Bale said.
