Banking giant JP Morgan has filed a trademark for a new crypto wallet. In a recent filing with the United States Trademark and Patents Office (USPTO), JP Morgan registered a trademark for a product called JP Morgan Wallet.
The wallet provides services such as virtual currency transfer and exchange, virtual checking accounts, crypto payment processing, credit and cash card payment, and other financial services. According to USPTO, the trademark was officially registered on November 15, 2022.
Earlier this month, JP Morgan executed its first trade on the public blockchain using DeFi, becoming the first bank to issue tokenized deposits with its tokenized SGD deposits.
With this, the financial services industry titan has laid the foundation for the bridge between traditional and decentralized finance.
