The crypto community is going through a hard time since the FTX collapse and a part of the community is unsure about how safe this space is for them to invest their time in. In response, Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, advises people to start concentrating on the technology rather than the price of crypto at this moment.
Popular crypto investor CoinMamba tweeted he is exhausted after 9 years in crypto and wanted to move on and do something different after being tired of all the scammers and fraudsters in the crypto space.
Vitalik Buterin responded to the tweet by saying “I’d recommend increasing your distance from trading/investing circles, and getting closer to the tech and application ecosystem.”
Buterin added, “Learn about ZK-SNARKs, visit a meetup in Latin America, listen to All Core Devs calls and read the notes until you’ve memorized all the EIP numbers.”
Others chimed in supporting Vitalik’s statement noting the bear market is the perfect time to focus on the technology side involved in the crypto space.
Binance CEO CZ responded to CoinMambas’s tweet with his usual statement “Keep Building.”
CoinMamba thanked Vitalik Buterin by replying “Thanks for the advice Vitalik. These are the things that got me excited about crypto in the first place. Will try to focus more on tech going forward.”
Meanwhile, some of the community members see this as a common tactic in bear markets where big players pretend to be in the space for tech and mislead others to not worry about the situation of the market.
Buterin responded to such theories by saying “Being in it for the tech is already a significant and positive culture pivot, relative to being in it for price movements!”
Following the FTX collapse, Vitalik Buterin shared his views on safe CEX with hopes that in the longer-term future, the community moves closer and closer to all exchanges being non-custodial.
