The legendary metal band Metallica issued a crypto scam alert right before launching its most-awaited new album, 72 seasons. The band took this step as a measure to prevent fans from falling prey to crypto giveaway scams.
Scammers have already started cashing in on the hype around Metallica’s new album launch and upcoming tour through social media impersonation.
However, Metallica has warned its fans on the right time to steer away from fake giveaways, saying, “Let’s be as clear as possible. [Metallica crypto giveaways] are scams.”
Fans were also asked to limit their interactions to verified Metallica accounts when dealing with information that seems “wild and crazy to be true.”
