The payment giant Paypal announced plans to roll out its crypto service in Luxembourg. In a few days, Paypal will expand its cryptocurrency services in the UK by providing it to eligible Luxembourg customers.
Luxembourgish gets an opportunity to find a new way and explore cryptocurrency services. PayPal aims to keep the environment open for Luxembourgish people and provides access to educational content to help customers answer commonly asked questions and better understand the opportunities and risks associated with cryptocurrencies.
The eligible customers can buy, sell and hold cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash starting as low as 1 euro ($1.05) through a PayPal account by using its website or mobile app.
PayPal’s cryptocurrency services were first launched in the U.S. in 2020 and expanded to the U.K. in 2021.
PayPal says, “Adding Luxembourg is an important step in PayPal’s mission to make digital currencies more accessible. We are committed to continuing to work closely with regulators and policymakers in Luxembourg to meaningfully contribute to shaping the role digital currencies will play in the future of global finance and commerce.”
