One of the top football clubs, Manchester United, launched its debut NFT collection on the Tezos blockchain as a gift to fans, which means fans can claim the NFT with a free mint.
The Key is Manchester United’s first official digital collectible – a historic piece of the club gifted to fans worldwide. Future Manchester United experiences would be unlocked by this set of NFT keys:
- Classic Key

Fans can get their hands on the first item as a free NFT, and once you have created your Tezos wallet, you can claim a Key, which will be awarded randomly. This free mint provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a member of the Manchester United virtual community without having to pay for it.
Future NFT drops will be available on Tezos, but Manchester United fans will have to pay to participate in those launches.
In February, Manchester United partnered with Tezos blockchain on a $27 million sponsorship deal per year. Tezos’ logo is featured on Manchester United’s training kit as part of the multi-year deal.
