Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse announced that the Second Trip of the project is coming in late March of 2023, set to be a “huge step for Otherside and will be more gamified and high energy.”
The second trip to the Otherside metaverse will feature new environments, new gameplay elements, and a larger number of concurrent users than the first trip.
“Customizable avatars will not be ready yet for Second Trip, but there’s a fun solution for those who want to enter with an NFT,” the Otherside team noted.
The Otherside metaverse didn’t forget to tease the community about a new feature “Also, there might be flying. Just because,” the team stated.
Otherside announced the completion of the “First Trip” on July 16 in which over 4,500 voyagers participated. Voyagers are Otherdeed NFTs holders who will also participate in upcoming tech demos similar to the “first trip.”

The Otherside metaverse team teased the second trip on Twitter with a video that opens with Curtis, the BAYC mascot, crossing Otherdeed #9353 with a Voyager Robot and “Blue” (the Koda from the First Trip).
The video shared contains only “in-engine” footage which indicates that the Otherside game’s engine was used to render the trailer.
Yuga Labs stated a number of activations will be going online starting in Q1 2023 and lasting the entire year, introducing users to some of the other Otherside residents.
This marks a significant turning point in the trip of the Voyager. There will be methods to participate and follow. Some of these encounters will take place inside Otherside.
While others will be playable, interactive site-based encounters meant to assist the user in amassing their collection of entitlements prior to Otherside’s broader release.
