Investment giant Fidelity filed NFT and Metaverse-related three trademark applications with the United States Trademark and Patents Office (USPTO) on 21st December 2022.
As per the filings, Fidelity intends to launch mutual funds, retirement funds, financial planning, securities brokerage services, financial analysis, investment services, insurance brokerage services, real estate investment services in the metaverse.
Fidelity also aims to launch e-wallet services in the nature of electronic storage and processing of virtual currency for electronic payments and transactions via a global computer network; digital currency, virtual currency, cryptocurrency digital token, crypto token, and utility token trading services.
Fidelity wants to conduct classes, workshops, seminars, and conferences in the field of investments and in the field of marketing financial services in the metaverse.
The payments giant aims to provide business information to financial service providers by means of an internet website, and referral services in the field of business marketing in the metaverse.
Fidelity may soon launch an online marketplace for buyers and sellers of digital media, namely, NFTs featuring textual and graphic content in the metaverse and other virtual worlds.
