Bankrupt crypto lender Celsius Network is preparing to file a motion requesting an extension of the bar date, which is the deadline to file a claim for users, from January 3, 2023, until early February. According to Celsius, the bankruptcy court is scheduled to hear the motion on January 10, so the deadline is extended until then.
“Our goal is to provide account holders with additional time to file any proofs of claim,” Celsius tweeted. Celsius’ creditors had made over 17,200 claims as of Dec. 29.
Celsius account holders are expressing their fury with this plausible deadline extension slowing the process even more as their funds are stuck with the crypto lender, along with the pressure of humongous legal fees of advisors and lawyers.
