Tech giant LG Electronics announced at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 that it is collaborating with cloud-based technology platform Oorbit to bring interoperable metaverse to LG Smart TVs.
Oorbit is creating a technological platform that will aggregate various metaverse experiences in one place. While LG was one of the early adopters, Orbit claims to have been developing its metaverse technology for about ten years.
Oorbit and LG’s collaboration will facilitate user interaction in the metaverse by bringing together interoperable gaming and social experiences in LG smart TVs.

Cloud streaming technology will allow users to access ultra high-fidelity interconnected virtual worlds and experiences in their LG TVs, such as AI-generated multiplayer games in Auxworld from Auxuman and virtual concerts on Elynxir from Pixelynx.
A persistent digital identity that users carry with them from experience to experience will likewise be retained by users. As a result, purchases and achievements are transferable between different virtual worlds.
With the help of Oorbit’s platform, marketers and developers can easily reach a larger audience on screens they already own with their virtual worlds and experiences.
New content from publishers, brands, and developers may be virtually seamlessly added to the metaverse via Oorbit.
