Two-time Academy and Grammy Awards winner, Music Maestro A.R. Rahman, is gearing up to launch the musical metaverse platform Katraar to promote new musical compositions, artistic genres, and musicians.
A.R. Rahman teased the launch of Katraar on his 56th birthday. Katraar is developed in collaboration with HBAR Foundation’s Hedera Network.
The global musician noted that “Katraar is also a tradition. Katraar has wisdom. Katraar has a future. Katraar has a vision.”
The word Katraar in Tamil means “a group of learned people who can change the world”, said the musician.
In addition, the six-time National Film Award winner acknowledged collaborating with the HBAR Foundation foundation to carry out numerous “cool things,” including bringing NFTs.
Katraar will act as a bridge that will connect people who have ideas to possibilities, to be exposed to the world so that they can change the same. “Art can change the world, Creativity can change the world,” the star noted.
Musicians can easily post their compositions to this metaverse portal and monetize them. Additionally, the musicians will make some of his original pieces accessible on the Katraar platform. Meaning, Katraar will not only feature A.R. Rahman’s work but also musicians from around the world.
