The Shiba Inu Team announced that Shiba Inu’s much-awaited Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium Beta is almost ready to launch. This blockchain (L2) runs on top of the Ethereum blockchain.
Shibarium’s Layer 2 blockchain protocols can benefit a variety of business sectors including metaverse, web3 innovation, and gaming, partly because existing blockchain networks share scalability and performance restrictions.
Shibarium seeks to operate on top of current blockchain networks, enabling off-chain transaction processing that is quicker, less expensive, and more private while still depending on the protection of the underlying blockchain.
With the development of Web3, it will have benefits in the metaverse, NFTs, dApps, and gaming. The $BONE token is chosen by the Shibarium protocol to cover gas transactions and reward Validators and Delegators.
The testnet faucet for Shibarium verifies that a limited quantity of test coins is given to users. Shibarium testnet will make use of a $BONE test token to enable users and developers to run extensive network testing.
These tokens are not actual assets, and since the users cannot swap them for real cryptocurrencies and they are only utilized in a test environment, it is pointless to hold onto them in the hopes of increasing their value.
The only prerequisite to becoming a Shibarium Delegator is to stake your tokens on a validator of your choice. Shibarium has no set cap on the number of delegates.
Due to the requirement that each delegator possesses a specific quantity of the network’s native token in order to take part in the validation process, the number of delegators is constrained to the amount of accessible stake in the network.
There are only 100 slots available for Shibarium validators. Additionally, validators must stake a minimum of 10,000 BONE.
Meanwhile, a forthcoming TREAT token will be launched to incentivize liquidity pools on ShibaSwap, a decentralized exchange that uses SHIB, and provide users with low network fees and better rewards strategies, developers said in the post.
The Shiba Inu Team stated that “we are approaching the finishing touches for Shibarium’s Beta and its imminent launch,” not providing a precise launch date.
