He wrote that it was “a true honor to sign our MOU partnership ceremony between The Sandbox and the Saudi Arabia Digital Government Authority (DGA) during #leap2023 conference, and we look forward to exploring, advising and supporting mutually each other in activations of the Metaverse!”
The agreement was signed by Borget and the DGA of Saudi Arabia while they were both at Riyadh Front Expo Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the LEAP Tech Conference.
Borget stated that he was unable to provide any additional information about his company’s agreement with the Saudi Arabian government, but details will be out in the “coming weeks.”
Middle eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia and UAE are actively involved in web3 and metaverse initiatives with plans for mass adoption. Especially, Dubai seeks to become the dream destination for the global crypto industry. Last year, The Crown Prince of Dubai announced the launch of the ‘Dubai Metaverse Strategy’ in order to increase the Emirate’s GDP contribution.
