Sony Network Communications, a business arm of The Sony Group, partners with multi-chain smart contract network Astar Network to launch a Web3 incubation program.
According to the announcement, the incubation program is a joint program between Sony Network Communications and Astar and aims to foster cutting-edge Web3 use cases using the knowledge and resources of Sony and Astar.
The Singapore-based company Startale Labs will administer the Web3 incubation program from mid-March through mid-June of this year.
Together, Sony Network Communications and Astar Network will support Web3 initiatives that highlight the practical applications of NFTs and DAOs.
Mentoring and weekly web3 sessions will be provided throughout the three-month incubation period to help you polish your business plans. A demo day will be held on the last day at the Tokyo headquarters of Sony Group Corporation.
All initiatives that share the company’s principles will have the chance to get funding for creating a Proof of Concept project.
Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale Labs and Astar Network, stated “We are pleased to launch the Web3 incubation program with Sony Network Communications, one of the Sony Group’s companies, which has been involved in the NFT sector and other Web3 initiatives within the Group. We hope to share the knowledge and resources of both companies to provide value to the participants selected for the program and create new use cases and projects.”
The program’s application period begins on February 17 and ends on March 6. No matter how far along their Web3 startups are, participants from all over the world are welcome to this program.
The Web3 incubation program will feature business and technology strategy workshops with international venture capital firms including Dragonfly, Fenbushi Capital, and Alchemy Ventures, as well as Web3 firms.
The participants will get the chance to work with Sony Network Communications and the Astar Foundation to perform research and development or demonstrations while being financially supported.
